Years with Mason: 1
Cory Danner joins the coaching staff with a lifelong connection to the sport of water polo. Both she and her husband were players for Sycamore High School, and their family’s involvement in the sport continues–her son Baden has played for Sycamore for the past three years, her daughter Mia is excited to begin as a freshman this fall, and her youngest, Hadley, is looking forward to following in her family’s footsteps.
Cory brings over 20 years of coaching experience in competitive gymnastics, primarily through her work at Kids First Sports Center in Symmes Township. She has world with athletes and students ranging in age from infants to 18 years old, leading the development of training curriculum, overseeing athlete recruitment, managing staff, and directing program-wide operations–including parent communications, team coordination, and collaborating with other department leaders to achieve the best outcomes for students and athletes. She has also coached recreational volleyball and basketball, often supporting her own children’s teams.
After recently transitioning careers to become a licensed real estate agent, Cory remains passionate about working with youth. Her coaching philosophy centers on fostering athlete achievement and helping young people learn how to compete–not just in sports, but in life. She believes in using both wins and losses as teaching moments, encouraging athletes to reflect, grow, and apply those lessons to future challenges and goals
