Meet your Mason Water Polo Coaches!

Adam Livingston is the head coach for the boys’ and girls’ Mason High School Water Polo program. In just two years, Adam coached both the boys and girls teams to the State Final Four Tournament and was awarded the Ohio 2023 Coach of the Year. Coach Adam took over the program and in just one year took the boys’ team from two wins to twelve wins and helped coach the girls’ team to their first state tournament bid in ten years.

Adam’s background is in leading teams in the business world. He develops teams built upon the culture of respect, discipline, hard work, teamwork and accountability. As a coach, Adam works to help players reach their own personal goals–both in the sport and in life.

Adam is a graduate of William Mason High School where he served as captain of both his Varsity basketball and Varsity football teams. As a Varsity quarterback, Adam broke and still holds 10 school records. Adam went on to play football and rugby at Wittenberg University where he was Rugby Player of the Year in 2004 and 2005.

When he’s not coaching or playing the sports he coaches, Adam can be found rooting his favorite team, The Duke Blue Devils, to victory.

Matt Lisa specializes in strength, conditioning, and injury prevention. As a former competitive powerlifting champion, he has spent over 30 years working with the science behind endurance, durability and absolute strength. He also played football in high school as well as at the college and professional level (Arena Football and the XFL). Last year, he helped coach the 18U Boys Sea Monsters to a 6th place finish at Junior Olympics and helped coach the Mason High School Water Polo team to the State Final Four.

Coach Danger Will Robinson joins the coaching staff this year with a plethora of sports knowledge. His broad spectrum of experience brings a unique perspective to this year’s water polo squad. Will graduated from Etiwanda High School as a 3-sport letterman athlete in football, wrestling, and tennis. Outside of school, his primary sport was Judo. Will brings a winning mindset as a 2-time Nevada State Champion, a 2-time California State Champion, a Gold Medalist at the Junior Olympics, and was once ranked as high as #4 in the United States of America. He has trained and studied sports science at the National Judo Institute and the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Lastly, our newest coach is also a Certified Ketogenic Nutrition Specialist.

Will went on to attend the University of Southern California studying computer engineering & computer science. While at USC, he gained valuable experience working with children as a camp counselor for underprivileged youth in Greater Los Angeles. He also earned a master’s degree in accountancy from Cal State University, Fullerton. Originally from sunny Southern California, Will moved to Cincinnati, OH in 2014. He now lives in Mason, OH with his wife Kristin and their five children: Colin, Kenzie, Liam, Taylor, and Finley. His wife Kristin played Water Polo at Etiwanda High School and Colin is currently a senior on the Mason Water Polo team.

Ryan Roth is a '24 graduate of both Mason High School and the Sea Monsters program. Ryan was between the pipes during the Sea Monsters 2024 gold medal wins in Florida, Alabama and Junior Olympics. He also has been through the ODP pipeline and made the GLZ team multiple times. Ryan lives, breathes and sleeps water polo, but when he isn’t playing or studying water polo, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and family, listening to music, and being outside

Carter Dickerson is a graduate of Troy Christian High School. Dickerson first started playing water polo for the Oakwood Lumberjacks where he had several standout seasons from 2018-2023. Dickerson finished out his high school season as a member of the Mason High School Final Four State Championship Team.

Dickerson's success continued at the USA Water Polo regional and National levels. He was a contributing member of the Great Lakes Zone regional team in 2022 and a celebrated member of the regional and national teams in 2024.

As a club water polo player, Dickerson found success as a member of Moose Water Polo Club in 2022 and for Sea Monsters Water Polo for 2023-2024. As a starter on the Sea Monsters Junior Olympic Championship team, Dickerson made a crucial goal in the final minutes of the game to help the Sea Monsters seal Ohio's first ever Junior Olympic Championship.

Known for his leadership and enthusiastic presence in and out of the pool, Dickerson brings both experience and vision to the Sea Monster's culture.

Colton has managed the girls' and boys' teams at Mason High School the past two seasons and has maintained equipment for practices and tournaments for the Sea Monsters, including his debut as a manager at Junior Olympics in 2023. Colton, a sophomore at Mason High School, prides himself on helping to keep practices running smoothly and taking care of the coaches during practices and tournaments. Colton’s hobbies include building anything, organizing, and collecting trains.
